Bantwal, Aug 22: A passenger fell from his seat inside the bus and got injured as the driver of the KSRTC bus applied brake suddenly in order to avoid a pothole at Kalladka.
R Vijayakumar, a resident of Uppugudde, Panemangaluru, is the person who got injured. He is admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
Vijayakumar sat on the last seat of the bus and was speaking on his mobile phone. The bus was plying from Mangaluru to Sullia. As the bus approached Kalladka, the driver applied sudden brake. Due to the impact of the brake, Vijayakumar got thrown up from his seat and fell down with a thud. He received injury on his waist.
Injured passenger Vijayakumar has filed a complaint against the bus driver accusing him of negligence and urgency while driving.
A case is registered in Bantwal traffic police station.
