End of Left Rule in West Bengal: Rahul Gandhi

Naxalabari (West Bengal), April 14 (IANS) West Bengal had fallen behind the rest of the country as the ruling Left Front was busy serving the interests of their organisations and leaders rather than the common people, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi said here Thursday.

Addressing his first election meeting in this belt of Darjeeling district, Gandhi trained his guns on the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) led regime for its "failures" in education, attracting investment and combating unemployment.

During a six-and-a-half minute speech, the top Congress leader predicted that the people would vote out the 34-year-old Left Front government in the coming polls.
