Bengaluru, Aug 28: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday, August 28 praised the State BJP Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel for “ably leading the party.”
“I am not aware of any discussion on changing Kateel," the chief minister told reporters in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Bommai said Kateel, who completed his three-year term as state BJP president, has toured the entire State eight to 10 times.
“He (Kateel) has ably led the party. He has organised the party from the booth level and successfully led the party from gram panchayat polls, the Council polls as well as Assembly by-elections,’’ he said.
The chief minister said the leadership of Kateel will further strengthen the ruling BJP in the State.
Meanwhile, large and medium industries minister has, in a tweet, said: “My heartfelt congratulations to Nalin Kumar Kateel on completing three years as state BJP president. Because of your administration's performance, our party has reached the highest level in the state today. I pray to God that your hard work and selfless service will continue like this.’’
Kateel continues to inspire our party karyakartas, Nirani added.
