Haveri: Sexual harassment accusation – Murugha seer taken into police custody

Haveri, Aug 29: A case under POCSO is registered on Murugha Sharana of Chitradurga accusing him of sexually harassing girls. It is learnt that he is taken into custody by the police.

Murugha seer was going to Maharashtra via Belagavi. He was intercepted by Chitradurga rural police station cops on highway near Bankapur of Haveri on Monday August 29 morning and taken into custody.

It may be recalled, police lodged a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case against the Lingayat seer from Chitradurga district on Saturday.

    Sexual harassement in a Mutt equals to custodial rape which is a heinous crime But it cant be ignored that sometimes false rape charges are also made to malign a person Hence unless the final report comes from police we cant blame the person. Now a days many women use rape laws to tarnish men. Like the dowry law under which many men suffered, Anyway lets wait for the final investigation report before blaming any one If guilty punishment needed but if found innocent he must be made free

Even after such grave allegations this man is given more than benefit of doubt by all those who hid and shared illegal wealth with him... This is the darkest day in our democracy...

    I was following this news on several Kannada channels yesterday.... Yesterday itself body language of the commentators was indicating a fiasco from swami... Moreover usual rogues easwaru and yeddy expressd solidarity with the POSCO accused and prayed for truth to come out false again... I oppose all religious appointments at tender young age including my own catholic community... Men and women must be above 30 years of age to be even considered to enter celibacy... Moreover unseen flood of money and unsuspecting devotees will drive them crazy only to the bewilderment of the faithful...

    PrakashManipal I too appriciate what you said.Many times in Hindu religion I heard couples when they dont have issues they make a oath that if they get a male child would offer them to be a seer etc.And they do.they let them become .Sad that child /parents dont realise the width of this oath.child suffers in later age of adolescent.Even catholics do.
