Mangaluru, Aug 30: There is a slight change in the timing of PM Modi’s visit to city. It is learnt that Modi will arrive in the city at 1 pm on September 2 and leave at 3 pm.
The public programme which was scheduled to be held at 4 pm on that day will be held at 1 pm itself. It is said that he will take part in the public gathering from 1.30 to 2.30 pm.
It is said that Modi will arrive from Cochin to international airport in the city and will land at Helipad of NMPT by helicopter from the airport.
PM Modi will reach Goldfinch City by road from NMPT at 1.30 and leave from the grounds at 2.30 pm and return at 3 pm. Modi will flag off various port and other projects worth Rs 3,000 crore from the dais of the programme itself.
No specific reason is known for the change in the programme.
More than 1 lac people are expected to attend the public programme. The preparations meeting was held by local BJP units at all constituencies.
As many as 1,461 buses and 200 mini buses have been booked by the representatives to travel to the event, informed sources from BJP.
