Mangaluru, Aug 31: The mortal remains of Sudhir Kumar (32), a resident of Bandikotya near Ullal, were found in a decomposed state in a drain at Mumbai. It is suspected that he was murdered.
Police identified the body by the label EPIC that was found in the pocket of the shirt which the deceased was wearing. He was missing since August 14 and a complaint was registered in a local police station of Mumbai. Later, his body was found in a drain under the limits of Vasai police station. It is said that he had informed his friends that he had a threat to his life.
He was the son of Malati, who used to work as a D group worker in the Ullal Mescom and retired a few years ago. As Sudhir Kumar had left for Mumbai at a very young age, no one knows much about him locally. In addition, no one at the Mescom office in Ullal knew that Malati had a son.
