Nuclear Energy is Certainly not the only Answer

There are several alternatives to Nuclear Energy and in India we have surplus of both Wind Power and Solar Energy. Of course due to political compulsions India has to go ahead with several Nuclear Projects. All these projects will certainly contribute to Global Warming by devouring our ever diminishing rich environmental assets.

Apart from Wind and Solar, we can also explore Geothermal Energy, Biomass and Co Generation each of which produces very little if any of Carbon Dioxide. There are fortunately in India several specialists in each of these alternative fields. All these alternatives are not only Eco Friendly they are also far cheaper and can be produced, manufactured by locals.

We must seriously explore all these avenues and be totally self reliant rather than be slaves of the Crumbling West. Is it not the West which has poisoned our fields and atmosphere by dumping chemicals like Endrin, Endosulphan, Carbofuran and Inorganic Fertilizers which have forever ruined our rich wetlands. The reclamation costs of these lands will be so huge and will takes a generation or more to make them fertile again.

We are living on the LEGACY of our children and have a duty to perform and preserve Mother Earth. We should certainly leave more trees and a better place by the time we die. Else the generations to come will have to wear masks 24 x 7 .   No N- energy is not the Essential Option and the People Sing a different Tune .
