Mangaluru, Sep 2: “The achievements of our government will be a blessing for us in coming assembly elections of Karnataka. We will return to power once again,” said Nalin Kumar Kateel, state president of BJP.
Nalin also opined that the infighting in Congress will be an advantage for them.
Nalin further said, “Winning 150 seats is our aim. The development done by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s government at centre and the achievements of state BJP governments led by former chief minister (CM) Yediyurappa and current CM Basavaraj Bommai are with us. In addition, there are many chaos within the Congress party. Last time, when Siddaramaiah was full time CM, there were no chaos. However, they managed to win only 80 seats. “
To the query of projecting official visit of PM Modi as programme of BJP, Nalin said, “Modi is our greatest leader. His arrival means the party workers will get inspired. There are more than five lac beneficiaries of union government schemes. We have invited 40,000 among them for the programme. More than two lac people are expected to arrive.”
With regards to criticism about national highway related works, Nalin said, “Criticism is done by people who does not like our development. Talapady-Hejamady four lane highway work is complete. BC Road-Addahole work is in progress. BIkkarnakatte-Sanoor four lane work has begun. Funds are released for other works.”
When questioned about his contribution towards to changes, Nalin said, “Our party has won all the bye elections. In panchayat elections we have won 80% of seats. We have assumed power in corporation and other local body elections. There is no position in our party, only responsibility. Changing or continuing it is left for the party high command.”
