Mangaluru, Sep 2: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi by dedicating and laying the foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs 3800 crore will boost the development of the coastal region," said chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
He was speaking to media persons after arriving at Mangaluru International Airport here on Friday September 2.
"PM Modi is visiting the coastal region of Karnataka after a very long time. He will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects which will be helpful in the development of the coastal region. These projects will boost economic and employment opportunities here," he said.
The union government has introduced various programmes which will benefit the fishermen community in Karnataka, he said.
Speaking on queries from the mediapersons about the delay in arrest of Murugha Math seer, he said, "Everything will be done under the ambit of the law. The probe will be done very fairly. Everything cannot be revealed as the matter is under investigation."
