Mangaluru, Sep 6: Of late, Mangalore University is in news for all the wrong reasons. In one more serious mess up Kannada subject examination of second semester BBA was postponed as they were given question paper of first semester.
The examinations of the university began on September 5. The college administrative committee said that the re-examination date will be announced soon.
BBA second semester examination was slated to be held on September 5 in 34 colleges that are affiliated to Mangalore University. In the question paper for Kannada subject that were given to the candidates it was written as second semester. However, as the students started reading the question paper, they came to know that the questions were pertaining to the first semester. The examination centres immediately brought the goof up to the concerned officers of the university.
Prof P L Dharma registrar of evaluation called off the examination within half an hour after the exam began. The university served notice to the chief of examinations division who was responsible for supplying the question papers to the colleges.
