Mangalore: Home Guard Commandant Dr Hegde to Receive CM Gold Medal on April 20
Mangalore, Apr 19: Dr Nidarsh D Hegde, Commandant of Home Guards, Dakshina Kannada district has been chosen for Chief Minister Gold Medal and will be awarded the same at Bangalore on Wednesday April 20.
Dr Nidarsh is also an elected senate member of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and a recipient of the national best young dentist award.
Hegde had taken over as the new commander of the district Home Guards three years ago replacing R Dileep, who also has served as additional superintendent of police in the district.
