I-T raids at multiple locations linked to Raj Minister Rajendra Yadav


Jaipur, Sep 7 (IANS): The Income Tax Department teams on Wednesday were raiding around 53 places linked to Rajasthan minister of state, Rajendra Singh Yadav and his relatives.

The raids began around 5.30 a.m. A large number of policemen and CRPF personnel were present with the I-T team. Around 100 vehicles were being used in the action.

The raids are being conducted at multiple locations including Kotputli, Yadav's Assembly constituency, and business premises in Uttarakhand.

The matter is related to the disturbance in the supply of mid-day meals and sources said that a huge amount of black money was expected to be exposed after the raid.

Teams of the Income Tax Department reached the houses, offices and other places of business groups associated with the minister and his relatives. Search was also being done at the residence of Yadav .

In Kotputli, the factory which supplies mid-day meal bags, was being raided. The factory is said to be owned by the relatives of Yadav.

Raids were also going on in the government house, private residence, office of the the Minister of State in Jaipur. The operation of the Income Tax Department has also stirred up other businessmen.

Officials confirmed that the income tax team reached different places in about 100 vehicles. Raids were also being conducted in Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand along with Rajasthan.
