Delhi reports 177 fresh Covid cases, two deaths


New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS): Delhi on Wednesday reported 177 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, and two more deaths, as per the government health bulletin.

Meanwhile, the Covid positivity rate of the city has marginally declined to 1.36 per cent. The number of active cases stands at 936 out of which 672 patients are being treated in home isolation.

With 260 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone to 19,73,707, while Delhi's total caseload is 20,01,127 and the death toll in the city stands at 26,484.

The number of Covid containment zones stands at 128.

A total of 13,004 new tests -- 8,481 RT-PCR and 4,523 Rapid Antigen - were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 4,00,29,331 while 26,230 vaccines were administered - 1,444 first doses, 4,044 second doses, and 20,742 precaution doses.

The total number of cumulative beneficiaries vaccinated so far stands at 3,67,27,765, according to the health bulletin.
