Kundapur, Sep 9: The mortal remains of Sayeesh Shetty (18), who jumped into river from Herikudru bridge on Thursday after he got depressed over getting low marks in NEET examination, were found on Friday September 9 morning at Navunda.
Sayeesh had arrived to the bridge on his bicycle and kept the bicycle and his mobile phone on the bridge and jumped into the river. The locals who saw him jumping from the bridge, immediately alerted the police.
Due to the continuous rains that lashed on Wednesday night, the level of water in the river was more which hampered the search operation to find Sayeesh’s body.
Sayeesh studied PUC at a college in Shivamogga. He was expecting good marks in NEET. But got dejected when the result was declared as he did not get expected marks and took the extreme step.
