Doha: Former Miss India Tanushree Dutta to Crown May Queen-2011

Doha, Apr 20: Doha Goans Sports Club is all set to host the May Queen event on May 5 at Hotel Ramada Plaza (Giwana ballroom) from 8 pm onwards.
Tanushree Dutta, former Miss India and Bollywood star has consented to be the chief guest and will crown the May Queen–2011.
The charming and tall Tanu as she is called, was crowned Miss India in 2004. She was also crowned Miss Confidence and Miss Beautiful Smile. She also participated in Miss World and was among the 10 finalists.
Her career as an actress started with 'Chocolate' in 2005, and she then went on to star in 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', '36 China Town', 'Bhagam Bhaag', 'Risk', 'Good Boy Bad Boy', 'Raqeeb', 'Dhol', 'Speed', 'Mr Fraud, 'Dus Kahaniyan', 'Sas Bahu Aur Sunsex', 'Rokda', 'Apartment, 'Ramaa', and Khilladi.
Entertaining the crowd for the evening will be the renowned band 'BlackSlades,' whose members will be flown from India to perform. They are expected to rock the crowd at Ramada Plaza. BlackSlades is one of best Goan bands around. The band members are based in Delhi but are very much Goans at heart. They have performed and entertained music lovers for the past 22 years in Delhi.
They have also done several musical shows overseas and perform regularly in Indian cities like Chandigarh, Roorkhie, Jaipur, Goa, etc, besides Delhi. They cater to different types of people and musical tastes from rock concerts at colleges to hi-brow jazz and pop dos. Their repertoire is wide, flexible and they provide what the people want.
BlackSlades have also worked with Apache Indian and Kailash Kher.
Entry will be free to the first 20 contestants for the May Queen-2011 registered before April 30.
Contestants will win fabulous prizes. Spot prizes for jive and salsa dancing couples, lucky entrance winner, novelty dance cinner, galore of surprises and prizes await all those attending the show.
Dine and dance to the beats of the 'BlackSlades' and 'Sharp', another additional mini band from Goa/Kuwait.
