Non-bailable Warrant Issued against Karnataka Minister Ramdas

Non-bailable Warrant Issued against Karnataka Minister Ramdas

Mysore, Apr 20 (PTI) : A local court today ordered issue of non-bailable warrant, the eighth one, against Karnataka Minister S A Ramdas and 50 of his followers after a complaint lodged against him for obstructing government work here, four years ago.

'Makkaji Chowk', a property of Mysore City Corporation, was trespassed by taxi drivers. The state Government then decided to construct a building in the premises, however as soon as corporation officials went to the spot to evict the taxi drivers in 2007, Ramdas then MLA and 50 of his followers rushed to the spot and obstructed the eviction drive.

Following this a complaint was lodged against Ramdas, who is now the Medical Education and Mysore district in-charge minister. The Court issued seven NBWs but Ramdas and his supporters did not appear. So, the Court decided to issue NBW for the eighth time against them.

@ Langoorcharaya Belman /USA,Wow you must be Attorney General of India and probobly Law minister in the place of Moodbidri Veerappa Moily. Your knowldge about law is 'really amazing'but you are staying in USA so we could not make use of your 'talent'

Langooooooooooooooooooooooracharya come to India and try to set right the leagal system to convict criminal convictions @ 95%.Who gave you 5% conviction of criminal cases in India? You are trying to smart by giving false datas and NBW are issued according to the merits of the case.By the by your own mens like Reddy brothers and present one Ramdas are not giving respect to constitution and rule of the land.Infact BJP is notorious in undermining constitution of India. Therefore You could be better political leagal adviser of BJP.

the case is simply fit for arrest under goonda act but the police are helpless or slaves of the BJP.these MLA's consider the NBW as LBW and walk away.I think Anna hazare has to go for one more hunger strike.

    Ravi, Mangalore,

I partially agree with you, every body who is issued summons/Warrents should present themselves in front of the said Court on said date and time....

However, Indian courts are notorious for summoning accused /or witnessness at least 10-50 times without any reason, during criminal case hearings, for just give next date... this is ridiculous and happens only in India....

Courts should summon an accused and witness when State(Prosecution) is ready for trial with witnesses,,, and not waste everybodys time including its own without any reason, just for the heck of it....

Also most of the semi-literate policemen who file FIR(which is important part of charge sheet) do not know how to file a Charge sheet which can sustain rigerous legal scrutiny of Defence...thats why 95% criminal cases in India are accquitted ,,, where as in US conviction rate's of Criminal cases is 95% or more...

With KG Balakrishnan likes as CJI and Moily's as Union law minister,,, Ismell's as legal commenterators God save Indian legal system....

    Jai Hooooooooooooooooooooooo

In our country law breakers are law makers. Politics has become money making profession. All the laws are only for the common citizen.
All these corrupt termites your time starts now, surrender or be ready to face consequences.

    Mr. S A Ramdas.
Don't worry, Reddy's use non-bailable warrants issued by Karnataka courts as toilet paper.
    You will also get away.

This is not a good sign BJP state govt. Most of the ministers in your cabinet are corrupt. BJP high command you have to definately take a decision now. Change in leadership required now. I feel that a person like Suresh Kumar is eligible to become the CM of our state.
