PM has given 1,000 sq kms of territory to China without fight: Rahul

New Delhi, Sep 14 (IANS): After reports of disengagement with China at Ladakh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday attacked the government for not restoring the status quo of April 2020 at Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.

Rahul said, "China has refused to accept India's demand of restoring status quo of April 2020. PM has given 1000 Sq Kms of territory to China without a fight. Can GOI explain how this territory will be retrieved?" he said.

Government sources on Tuesday said that there has been complete disengagement at key flashpoints in the Ladakh sector between India and China.

The process started on September 8 after months of talks and 16 rounds of corps commander meetings. As per sources the two sides have moved back after May 2020 friction. The sources said that both sides have verified their posts at LAC by the ground commanders.

According to sources both India and China moved back their frontline troops to the rear from the face-off site of PP-15 in the Gogra-Hotsprings area in eastern Ladakh and dismantled temporary infrastructure there as part of a five-day disengagement process.

Further, news has trickled in from Goa that 8 out of 11 Congress MLAs have joined BJP! What kind of BJ Yaatra this is Rahul conducting? Almost all Christian MLAs gone praising the PM and showing no hope on the Congress leader !This after Rahul's conversation with Ponnaiha and asking him who Lord Jesus was !! It is on Camera too ! Hope for the Congress and a strong opposition sake they wake up ! Or else by the time the Yaatra concludes only Rahul and Solar Venu may remain in the party !

Arre Rahul... Are these based on facts? Your great grandfather gifted Aksai Chin and around 38, 000 sq ft to China in 1962.Check records. He defended it by saying nothing " Grows there " and such stuff, to which a senior minister ( don't remember the name )in his cabinet retorted by showing his ' bald head' saying nothing grows here too... and that doesn't mean I have to gift it to my enemy ! Now, when people know everything , Rahul should be careful as to what he utters. Not conjure something from his hat. All of India knows who is close to China.

RaGA , Kindly refrain from speaking about national security related matters in such Yatras. It does not go well with masses We do not want to know about BJP or any other party . The news papers are doing that work. . The agenda of the Yatra, should be what Congress can offer, and what we can expect from your party at every levels. God knows when your party will learn. BJP just issues a statement , you and your parties go bersek defending that or issuing a counter statement, by wasting one whole day . Keep your eyes and ears shut and go on with the Yatra.
