Mangaluru: Mulky-based entrepreneur Nagaraj gets call from underworld fugitive

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 26: The police said that entrepreneur, Nagaraj, who has his residence at Mulky, and at whose house bullets were fired by bike-born miscreants two days back, received call from an underworld fugitive who introduced himself as Kali Yogesh. Nagaraj was threateningly enquired whether the entrepreneur has got the message from Kali Yogesh.

Two men who arrived at the home of Nagaraj on the night of Saturday fired at his home near Mulky bus stand twice before beating a hasty retreat after sensing that people who heard gunshots had begun to gather there. Police security has since been provided to Nagaraj's residence.

On Sunday December 24 night, Nagaraj received a call made through internet. The caller introduced himself as Kali Yogesh and wanted to confirm that the message he conveyed to the entrepreneur earlier had reached him. The caller spoke in Tulu, police personnel added. This call, it is believed, has confirmed the link of underground criminals with this firing incident. The police said they have been trying to establish the identity of the caller by pooling information abut the call.

Nagaraj was visibly shaken by the threat call and shootout. Police sources said that Nagaraj has stopped the practice of going for a walk with friends at 5 am every day to Bappanadu temple from his home because of threat perception to his life.
