Mangaluru, Jan 6: It was a perfect weekend beginning for Mangalurean crowd, who went gaga over singer Neha Kakkar’s visit to city. The Indian Idol judge enthralled the audience with her outstanding performance, setting the stage on fire with her energy and charismatic charm in ‘Imperial Blue Superhit Nights’ at Nehru Maidan on Saturday, January 5.
The Neha Kakkar live concert was part of the celebrity's nationwide Imperial Blue Superhit Nights tour that had last year seen director and singer Farhan Akhtar.
The concert of Neha Kakkar went on for two hours that witnessed a packed crowd, comprising young and old of all ages, who clapped with glee, hooted, danced, screamed and sang in tune with Neha Kakkar.
Prior to the Neha Kakkar concert live, the stage belonged to DJ Suketu, who with his remix versions made the crowd stand on their feet.
When Neha Kakkar entered the stage, Mangalureans welcomed her with loud cheer and by chanting her name. Neha Kakkar was overwhelmed to see the crowd of Mangaluru and said, “It is unbelievable to be in Mangaluru to see such love and affection from the crowd. Sometimes, I feel that do I deserve so much of love.”
Neha Kakkar sang famous tracks such as Kala Chasma, Mile Ho Tum Humko, La La La, Ankh Mare, London Thumakda, Aashiq Banaya, Paani Paani, Dilbar, Oh Humsafar, Nikle Current and many more and also made the audience sing along with her.
Taking jibe on her own relationship break she said, “I will dedicate this song for all those who have faced break-ups. I know how hard it is to have a break-up,” she said and sang ‘Mahi Ve’.
Jam-packed crowd
Scores of Neha Kakkar fans thronged Nehru Maidan to witness her performance live. Crowd was such that even police had tough time to control the crowd at VIP entries as well as in the general entries.
Prior to the concert, Neha Kakkar addressed press conference at Hotel Taj Gateway.
