The problem is that how many people are aware of IT rules, today, when even ragpickers have mobile phones with internet access! For many it's fun forwarding such videos in their groups w/o knowing the consequences! I wonder even if educated people are aware & disciplined enough to follow IT rules?

Secondly, how to gauge what to share and what not??

While condemning the heinous act committed by these students, I also feel pity for them. They have lost their future and cannot live a normal life. What went wrong in these students needs to be discussed. When I was studying in college 45 years back in a co-ed college, I had all the desire to talk to girls and be friendly with them but there were some restrictions. My Principal, a Jesuit priest, of whom I am still afraid of, has instilled certain discipline in students. He taught us then what was right and what was wrong. I listened to him more than my parents and when he talk he made a lot of sense. His moral lecture used to imprint in my mind. May I say such discipline is not there any more in a few private colleges. It is all about the money, degree and not about the real education which include discipline. Parents should chose what is best for their children or else their life is also going to be miserable.

Someone would have forwarded the video to him, he would have watched and re forwarded again. This is crime in IT Act under which he is arrested.
Many are not aware that forwarding a illegal content is a crime so we have to be careful while forwarding whatsapp, email or other messages.

Who's permission should the girl ask for??, going out does not means she asking to be raped.. Their involvement with her was not concensual, if the these criminals would have asked for consent then blame the girl.. are u serious? she PAID the price by getting raped going through the mental trauma every day?? Look at the audacity of the guy uploading this heinous crime as status..

The 'Beti' of India and Bharath Mata is raped in Puttur. The 'Moral police' brigade is completely in 'Manu Vrath'!

    1. In social media, once the content is uploaded it is hard to delete. How cybersecurity is going to protect the privacy of the student raped?
    2. Why the cybersecurity is not asking for the permanent blockade of there social media account?
