Mangaluru: MCC polls ticket issue – Ex MLA Mohiuddin Bava assaulted

Mangaluru, Oct 30: A man assaulted former Congress MLA Mohiuddin Bava relating to the issue of ticket distribution from Congress party for the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) elections to be held in November.

The assault took place on Wednesday, October 30.

As per details available, son of Gulzar Banu, a former mayor, is the person who assaulted Bava.

It is said that some people started shouting slogans after the list of candidates was announced, When the Congress leaders were walking out from the venue of the press meet, son of Gulzar Banu assaulted Bava. He alleged that Bava had taken Rs 10 lac to allot a ticket for Chokkabettu ward , but the ticket was not issued.
