Udupi, Mar 2: St Cecily's High School, Udupi, organized a farewell programme for Madhukeshwar P Hegde, Hindi teacher, on February 29 for his 31 years of loving and selfless service to the school.

Madhukeshwar P Hegde has been a teacher par excellence in Hindi language to all students of St Cecily's High School. He has imparted not only knowledge from prescribed text books but also values of life to growing teens of the High school. He has rendered his valuable services as resource person for Hindi language at a number of workshops and seminars conducted by the Education department, Udupi district. He is beautiful orator, talented playwright, ardent yakshagana lover, avid reader, sanskrit pandit, and a simple humble person.

To render thanks to all his kind services, students presented their feelings with prayer, skit, dances and greeting song. The joint secretary of St Cecily's Institutions, Sr Vibha, headmistress of the High School Sr Preethi Crasta , staff and students felicitated him on the occasion.
