Mangaluru International Airport receives hoax bomb threat

Mangaluru, Aug 19: The security agencies at the Mangaluru International Airport grew alarmed after they received a hoax call about a bomb at the airport.

As per sources, a retired director who served at Mangaluru Airport received the call on his mobile phone on Wednesday afternoon.

Based on the tower location, the investigating team extended its inquiry to the area of Karkala from where the phone call was reportedly made.  

 

After receiving the call, the CISF personnel conducted an extensive search of the airport. The security personnel reported nothing suspicious and therefore confirmed it to be a hoax call.
