Mangaluru, Sep 10: A mentally deranged man has been moving around menacingly around the Car Street area in the city since the last three and a half years. He used to pelt stones at the passersby and injure them. He often threw stones at the window glasses of shops and shattered them as well.

On August 8, a few volunteers caught hold of him, gave him a haircut and shave, apart from bathing him. He was provided with new clothes, taken to an Ashram where he was sheltered. After a month of treatmentat at the hospital there, he has recovered.
