Udupi: Man who went fishing in Mannupalla lake drowns

Udupi, Sep 15: A man who went fishing at Mannupalla Lake, Manipal, slipped, fell into the water and died on Wednesday midnight.

The deceased is identified as Prakash.

The local residents who were walking on Mannupalla walking track saw the body of a man floating in the lake on his stomach. He was fished out of the lake by the passers-by who presumed he was alive, but he had died already.

A case in this connection is registered at Manipal police station.

    The lake is dangerous . Previously long ago some medical students have drowned here. Whenever we go near a water filled body we must be careful
