Margao: Belgaum Student Drowns at Dudhsagar Falls

Margao Apr 25: Sameer Devendra Shantigiri (18), student of electrical stream from Bharatesh Polytechnic College, Belgaum drowned at Dudhsagar waterfall at Collem, 45 km from here on Sunday April 24. His
body was fished out later in the evening.

According to police, group of five students from this college had come for tour to Goa. On Sunday when they ventured to take bath, Sameer drowned. His friends and locals there, tried to search him, but they
couldn't.

After the police were informed about the incident, their search team plunged in action and fished out his body late evening, which was sent for postmortem at Goa Medical College-Bambolim.

Collem police are  investigating the case further.

Meanwhile, locals here vented anger on goverment, after this incident, for not deploying life guards at this tourist place, which they say is very important to save lives of mainly tourist.
