Mumbai, Nov 1: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan greeted his fans outside his residence Jalsa on Sunday amid heightened security, with the veteran actor making his customary weekly appearance behind a transparent bulletproof shield.
In visuals obtained, Big B was seen waving to his admirers from an elevated platform, with a transparent protective shell installed around him. His son Abhishek Bachchan also accompanied him during the appearance.
Several security personnel were deployed around the actor as he greeted the gathering of fans.

Security arrangements for the veteran actor have been tightened following reports of a bomb threat email. According to reports, Mumbai Police received information about the email on October 23. The email was reportedly sent to a school in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area, following which the police launched an investigation.
The email also mentioned singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, suggesting that he, too, had been threatened, although the threat was not explicitly directed at him.
The letter reportedly referred to Bachchan’s Mumbai residence, Jalsa, and mentioned October 31 and November 27 as dates for alleged attacks. It also linked Dosanjh to a purported bomb attack at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27. The email further contained pro-Khalistan slogans and attributed the threats to a group calling itself the “Khalistan National Army”.
Meanwhile, Bachchan recently shared an update on his health, saying he needed more rest as part of his recovery. He revealed that doctors had advised him to take a break from his usual online activities and that he would remain inactive on social media for some time.
In a post on his Tumblr blog, he wrote, “Yet more rest needed .. adjusting .. thinking and wondering .. the human body and its uniqueness."
On the professional front, Bachchan is currently hosting the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
