Udupi, Sep 27: “As temples are developed, that symbolizes development of villages. Hence, development of temples is important for the welfare of devotees”, said by Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode math in his blessings address.
He was speaking after the inauguration of the newly built Sharvani mantapa at Kadiyali temple here on Monday, September 26. “Goddess Mahishamardini protects people from all difficulties and evil power. The temple is doing many social service activities, even after the Brahmakalashotsava, is really commendable. I would wish that, the offerings (donation) given by the last of the village, let us use them for helping the poor in another way," the Swamiji said.
K Raghupathi Bhat, MLA Udupi, said that the devotees are coming not only from the districts but also from other states. On the grounds of social service, the temple committee decided to dedicate Sharvani mantapa to poor people for conducting programmes free of cost. "I wish, this hall will create more demand in upcoming days," he said.
Dr Katte Raviraja V Acharya, president of the temple management committee, presided over the programme.
