Free KSRTC bus passes for labourers in Udupi, Mangaluru

Udupi/Mangaluru, Sep 29: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is distributing free passes through Seva Sindhu Portal of EDCS online to building construction and other labourers working in the state. The labourers should registered themselves with welfare board of construction and other labourers.

The labourers will be provided pass up to seven phases (maximum 45 kms from the starting point) freely to travel by KSRTC buses only. They can travel on in city, general and outskirts areas where the services are available including vegadoot buses.

    These labourers earn not less than 700 to 1000 rs per day in cash without paying TDS. The common man who is paying tax is not getting anything free. Also senior citizens & school childrens should be given free passes.

    KSRTC is already bankrupt, had to mortgage property to pay employees salary then how can they manage this free gift to scores of workers? This is a jumla during election time to fool the gullible labor community!
