Puttur: BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru murder tightened noose on PFI?

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Sep 29: The state government considered murder of BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru seriously and handed over the investigation of the case to National Investigation Agency (NIA). As a result, every bit of information on the plot hatched by the Popular Front of India (PFI) came to light which led to its ban.

The last nail in the coffin of the PFI was hit by the fact that all the assailants of Praveen Nettaru murder had links with the PFI.

When the police arrested two people in connection with Praveen Nettaru murder and interrogated, they came to know that there are eight people involved in the murder. Out of them, three prime accused were changing their locations every now and then and it took 15 days for the cops to apprehend them. Though it was proved during interrogation that the PFI is protecting the culprits, investigation team intensified its operation to provide supporting evidence.

Concrete evidence was available from the offices of the PFI and the mobile phones of accused about the connection to murder. This matter was further strengthened in the investigation of the NIA. Though there was suspicion about PFI hand in various murders that took place across the country on Hindu workers, the fact could not be confirmed. In addition, the future destructive plans of the PFI also came to light.

Mangaluru was the centre of PFIs destructive activity planning. It used to attract youth from all over the country. Religious fanatics of Kerala were extending cooperation. Financing was reportedly done from foreign countries. The youths were enticed with money and made to disturb communal harmony in the society. Thousands were reportedly ready to carry out terror activities.

The NIA collected all the evidences and presented the same in front of the union government, which in turn placed a ban on the PFI and other like-minded organizations for five years.

Banning SDPI will be very beneficial for Congress. SDPI is dividing the anti-BJP votes. Even banning the Popular Front and Campus Front has, in my opinion, added at least 5% votes Congress. The supporters of these organizations will never ever support the communal BJP. They will have to support Congress or abstain from voting. During the course of the forthcoming elections, BJP will realize that they have bungled in banning these organizations rather than containing them. The argument that RSS, Bajrang Dal, Sri Rama Sene etc should have been banned is a very valid argument.

Narendra Modi government on Wednesday banned PFI and its eight affiliates for five years, charging them with being involved in "several criminal and terror cases" and having links with the terror outfits like the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

This has further widened the gap between communities... Partisan actions are clearly evident and sweeping in nature... Some people may feel, " saiberena charbi onte kammi aand..."... But reflect properly and think if the conduct of the govt and its agents has been fair... This single sided action has made our governance look shabby... Also the body language of the ruling party leaders has been openly partial... All is not well....
