Udupi, Sep 30: Union minister Shobha Karandlaje said that the Popular Front of India (PFI) is involved in anti-national activities. It has also involved in killing of Hindu youths.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Friday September 30, Shobha further said, “The PFI is an organization that gives training for terrorism activities. The NIA has collected evidence for three years.
“SDPI is a political party. The Election Commission has given instructions to confiscate the properties of PFI activists that work in SDPI. The deputy commissioners are doing this job.
“The PFI used to train their workers in using weapons and manufacturing bombs. It used to misuse social media for this work. After the arrest of three engineers from Shivamogga, this information came to light. When their experiment was success on the banks of Tunga river, they celebrated by burning Indian national flag. The intention of the PFI is to weaken Indian. The mentality of people who get all facilities from India but are against it should change,” she said.
Replying to query on demand of Congress to ban RSS, Shobha said, “The Congress has lost its mental balance. It is a ship without the captain. When RSS was banned by Congress, the Supreme Court had condemned the party. Indira Gandhi was defeated after she banned RSS. Siddaramaiah should visit the RSS shakha once. It is not right on his part to give this type of statement in order to appease Muslims. As Siddaramaiah withdrew cases on PFI workers during his regime, Karnataka became financial hub of PFI. The Congress does not have the eligibility to question RSS.”
With regards to Bharat Jodo march of Rahul entering Karnataka, Shobha said, “Rahul should go to the place where India was divided and make Bharath Jodo. Whose gift if POK to Pakistan? Nehru said that even grass does not grow in Himalaya. So it was given.
“Bharat Jodo should be done in Teen Bigha, POK and borders of China and Bangladesh. Why Rahul is holding the march with people who raised Pakistan Zindabad slogan? Are you doing Bharath Thodo? Clarify,” she said.
When questioned on her name change from Shobha Karandlaje to Shobha Gowda, Shobha said, “This is a propaganda against me. Someone is hatching plot against me. Some people think that politicians are jokers. I request media, social media and political circles and opposition parties to stop this propaganda. I do not know why this discussion began? Have I gone crazy to change my name?”
Responding to fisheries jetty collapse at Gangolli, Shobha said, “Take immediate action. Black list the contractor. They should not be given any work in future. Investigation needs to be done. If the contractor has kept the deposit, confiscate the same.”
Taunting to Congress leader Mithun Rai’s statement of awarding Rs 5000 to those who take selfie with Shobha, Karandlaje said, “Let all come to take selfie with me. Let Mithun Rai come first. I will not respond on this issue. Why we have to give Mithun the publicity. He is a mediocre.”
Meanwhile, workers of BJP took selfie to give taunt to the statement of Congress leader Mithun Rai. After inaugurating Khadi Mela at Kaup, workers of Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha of BJP took selfies with the minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Veena Shetty, district president of Mahila Morcha said, “Congress leader Mithun Rai said that he will give prize if we take selfie with pro-people worker and simple MP Shobha. So we are taking selfies and participating in the competition organized by Mithun Rai.”
