Small and Medium Industries in Goa to Get Financial Support : Kamat

Panaji, Apr 29: Goa cabinet has decided to provide help small and medium industries in the state by providing them financial assistance for various endeavours.
 
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat told reporters that the industries department will reimburse fees upto Rs 2 lakh paid by the industries to credit rating agencies. 
 
The cabinet also decided to reimburse fee upto Rs 3 lakh for the industries for having ISO certification. “For those obtaining occupational health and safety certification, amount upto Rs 3 lakh would be reimbursed,” Kamat said.
 
In yet another decision, the cabinet also approved a scheme for identification of sick units. Kamat said that they will be given benefit of managerial counseling so that they are either helped out from the sickness or prevented from being sick units.
