Bengaluru, Oct 11: As if to counter the opposition Congress and JD(S), which have already launched different mass contact programmes in preparation for the 2023 assembly polls, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai launched ruling BJP’s Janasankalp Yatra campaign and exuded confidence of returning to power with a thumping majority.

Talking to reporters near his residence in Bengaluru, he said the party had been regularly conducting programmes and the Jansankalp Yatra will begin under the leadership of former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

“Through the rally, the people will be explained about the schemes launched by the State government, benefits to lakhs of people through the policies and programmes of the BJP led NDA Government in the Centre as well as the future policies keeping in view the interest of all the communities and ways to take benefits of the same,’’ Bommai said.

The Chief Minister said the purpose of holding the Yatra is to motivate the party office-bearers and workers to boost their morale and make them take oath to bring back the BJP to power in the State.

There has been enthusiasm everywhere and the confidence of people will be earned from this Yatra, he said.

As fixed by local workers there will be two to three small functions apart from the main convention such as talk by beneficiaries and visit to some places.

Not bothered by Bharat Jodo Yatra

The Chief Minister said they are not at all bothered about the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi and the people know well who were attached and who were detached.

“So, this Bharat Jodo Yatra has no importance. We will tell our programmes to people and try to win the elections. There is no connection whatsoever between Bharat Jodo Yatra and Jan Sankalp Yatra,’’ Bommai said.

CM, BSY in Raichuru

The Chief Minister along with his predecessor Yediyurappa have already reached Raichuru for the BJP Janasankalp Yatra in Gillesuguru village.

Ministers Govind M Karjol, Shankar Patil Munenakoppa, B Sriramulu and BJP leaders D K Aruna, N Ravikumar, Raja Amareshwara Naik, Sankanna Karadi, Raja Amareshwara Naik, Dr Shivaraj Patil, Shivanagouda Naik, Raju Gowda, Thipparaju Havildar, Pratap Gowda Patil, Ramanand Yadav and others were present.

Look at Bommai's face in the last picture. In his mind, he's calculating, 40% of this is not even worth my time. I spend more money, walking from my office to the loo. Still for the photo, let me accept the indigent woman's certicate. Bommai sir, only few days remaining, after this, you can sit at home only and count the billions you made from your 40% commission government. Especially for unis like KSLU, where students pay money and pass, per subject 5000. In my college, VBCL this has happened with a repeater student, whom I know. She failed 12 papers nonstop for two years and suddenly in two sems, she cleared each and every one. Like magic!

@ Ramesh Poojary One more thing you forgot to add i.e Modiji's track less bullet train. India instead of going ahead or advancing in the 21st Centry our ministers and their ideology find solace in the forgotten era of early civilization and blind beliefs.

BJP launches Janasankalp Yatra campaign, CM confident of victory - If you are so confident why you are so tensed and entertain doubts and planning counter Yatra to please public. People have already judged your double game in providing justice to people. Actually, you are ruling just to spread Hindutva and Hindu ideology, sometime using force, like Cow slaughter ban, introducing Bhgwad gita in school syllabus, anti-conversion bill, Hijab issue. .....................................................
