Panaji, May 3: The annual Global Goans Convention will be held in London from July 22-25 next. India's High Commissioner in the United Kingdom, dignitaries of Goan origin, leaders of the Indian Associations across the world will participate.  The convention which is open to all Goans worldwide is organised by the Goan Association(UK).

The programme of the covention will include several meetings of interest to NRGs. There will be an interactive session with the particiption of the High Commissioner of India on issues concerning NRIs and PIOs of Goan origin. Concerned officials of the Indian High Commission as well as offiials of the state government will atttend.

The Convention will commemorate the golden jubilee of Goa Liberation with participation of eminent historians, social and political scientists and fighters for freedom in anti-colonial struggles across the world.

The Convention will also hold a `Viswa Konkani Sammelan', a cultural programme with participation of Konkani speaking expatriates from  Goa and other regions of India.
