Dalits give up Hinduism, more than 400 embrace Buddhism in Yadagir

Daijiworld Media Network – Yadagir (SS)

Yadagir, Oct 15: More than 400 Hindus have registered themselves to convert to Buddhism and about 500 of them have already embraced Buddhism out of their own will. People say that they have accepted Buddhism after being exploited in the community.

The people embraced their new religion in the presence of Banteji and Dr B R Ambedkar's granddaughter Ramathayi Ambedkar.

The programme was held under the auspices of Golden Cave Buddha Vihara Trust and Dalit organisations at Surapura golden cave Buddha vihara.

People belonging to the scheduled castes embraced Buddhism after giving up Hinduism.

Dalits have been deprived of temple and hotel entry and have been exploited socially and hence those who embraced Buddhism said they were hurt for these reasons to give up Hinduism.

Ramathayi Ambedkar also participated in the programme. She said Ambedkar had studied Buddhism for two decades and added that Dalits have been discriminated and such cases are rising.

Wherever you are whichever caste live in harmony. Love one another. Ultimately your family and surrounding matters with daily life. As long as do not harm others and worship the Creator you don't have to bother on political effects

No matter which religion you follow ..one will never find God . This is not a negative statement neither I am an atheist .. Out of millions of followers of various religions very few have made it to god .. .Eg Budha ,Prophet mohammed ,Jesus ,Sri Krishna etc .. As long as you are a follower you will simply be following ..without any deeper self enquiry .. Its just like an exam with a leaked question paper. One repeats the words and answers like a robot and hallucinates that he is holy man.

It has survived the test of the time only in very few parts of India, Sri Lanka and some part of North east Asia, Myanmar and Tibet. Bhuddhists faced the brunt of invasion throughout history. The recent target from familiar quarter just like in history was erasing of whatever little was left in Afghanistan (bombing of Bamiyan Buddhas). If its teachings and followership is getting a new lease of life, so be it.

By converting to Buddhism, will the Dalits still be recognized as Scheduled Castes under the Constitution, or are they now emancipated into a casteless religion. Will they be entitled to all the reservations in public institutions, government jobs, university and professional courses, etc. Or. are they going to get a caste certificate to be entitled.

Read the news article reason to give up Hinduism and to embrace Buddhism. In any case one who joins BJP all caste, creed, emancipations, reservations and certificates are null and void. Clean chit all the way and immuned to law of the land. Only enjoy the tax money paid by minorities and majorities. That’s where we are heading both good and the bad to hell.

Indeed Hinduism is under threat and the kind of message convey to the international community about Hinduism is not healthy one. Its easy for dalits to embrace Buddism rathar Abrahamic faith due to the threat from rightwing groups ...
