Bengaluru, Oct 17: In a pep talk to Deputy Commissioners of districts and senior officials in Vidhana Soudha on Monday, Chief Minister asked them work with a calm mind, sense of time and interest to serve the people.

Presiding over a meeting of deputy commissioners, he said for any IAS officer, working as deputy commissioner is considered very important assignment and it is not important what kind of footsteps one will leaves behind but how effective they have been in meeting the needs of the administration and serving the people.

“Most of the officials have only seen the power of the DCs post by not taking into account responsibility and administration. Ruling is different and administration is different and both must be considered while working,’’ he said.

The Chief Minister said the officials are an integral part of the administration and have a lot of powers too, which must be effectively and judiciously utilized.

The DCs' must know how important their decisions are in the management of administration. There will be 101 reasons not to do any particular work but one reason is enough to do good work. So, they must govern by taking decisions in time, he said.

Bommai said the guidance of senior officers must be taken in case of any problems.

"I want everyone to share their experiences openly and then only it will help the government to make suitable decisions. There have been government orders regarding the implementation of policies and programs announced in the State Budget, and they must implement it and achieve the target by year end,’’ he said.

Ministers R Ashok, J C Madhuswamy, V Sunil Kumar, C C Patil, V Somanna, B Sriramulu, K Gopalaiah, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma and other senior officers were present at the meeting.

Now Bommai will be hiking commission to 70%. After all, they will put more effort to be corrupt na, so more money for more work! Nimmo tai will call this equal pay for equal work........just like she says, the rupee is not weak, the dollar is strengthening, when justifying the inequal exchange rate.

It looks like, the CM is grooming the DCs to follow the ministers orders irrespective of their reasonability. Most of the DCs anyway act like puppets as otherwise, they will keep transferring such reasonable people from place to place.
