Panjim: Cylinder blast kills 40-year-old man, woman seriously injured

Panjim, Oct 25: In a fatal cylinder blast on occasion of Diwali a 40-year-old man lost his life and a woman was seriously injured. The cause of the cylinder blast was not yet known.

The incident occurred when woman was preparing for Laxmipujan ceremony on the occasion of Diwali at her kiosk located at Peddem, Anjuna village.

Gas cylinder exploded and triggered a fire in a kiosk at Anjuna village in North Goa on Monday evening police said.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospital in an ambulance. The man was declared brought dead, while the woman is being treated for serious burn injuries.
