Congratulation Mr. Sam Pitroda. You deserve the award. It was the vision of late Prime Minister of India Mr. Rajeev Gandhi who chose you to be the advisor to bring in telecommunication revolution in India. It was under your guidance telecommunication revolution in India was ushered into by introducing Electronic Exchanges in India, replacing outdated Manual/Crossbar Exchanges. I still remember that in the month of April 1985, when I had gone to New Delhi, it was real difficult to contact my family in Mangalore as public telephone booths in the Capital City New Delhi was rare then. May your ideas bring in more telecom revolution in India. JAI HIND.
