Mangaluru: Truck, bike collision - Two dead, 2 kids seriously injured

Mangaluru, Nov 6: A man and a woman died on the spot and two children were seriously injured, when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a truck at Kallapu on Sunday, November 6.

The deceased have been identified as Gangadhar (45), a resident of Jeppu Tandolige and Nethravathi (48), a resident of Konaje Pajeer. Moksha (4), daughter of deceased Netravati and Jnanesh, nephew of Netravati are seriously injured.

The truck which was coming out of Kallapu Global Market after unloading the vegetables rammed into the bike. Gangadhar was going towards Konaje with Netravati, who is familiar to him and the two children.

It is said that the negligence of the truck driver is the cause of the accident.

The Mangaluru South traffic police have registered a case.
