Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Nov 6: Minister V Sunil Kumar said administrative approval has been obtained to build 5,000 houses for fishermen under the Matsya Ashraya scheme through Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation.

Speaking on the subject, Sunil said, “In the current fiscal 5,000 houses will be built for the homeless fishermen through Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation on a priority basis. Order has been given based on the aid model that is prevalent in the housing department. Our government has kept up the word given to fishermen.”

The minister said, “In the fiscal 2022-23, 858 SC, 348 ST and 3794 general category will get homes under a housing department scheme. However, houses need to be approved for fishermen under the Matsyashana scheme. Against the backdrop of this scenario, Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation has been instructed to build 3,794 homes to beneficiaries under the general category to reach the target for 2021-22 set by the housing department. In addition, 1206 beneficiaries of SC and ST category will be given housing under the Dr B R Ambedkar housing scheme for rural and urban dwellers for the year 2021-22.”

In Himachal Pradesh promised to build houses and In Karnataka also houses will be built for fishermen. Are these promises going to be fulfilled or only because of up coming elections? Since BJP only promise of doing this and that, but do not fulfill them. Both the above states are double engine governments but without diesel.
