Mumbai: Triple Book Release of Vasudev Kanemar and Daughter Shobha G Rao

Mumbai, May 12: Dr G N Upadhyaya, head of the Kannada department of Bombay University, released the seventh Kannada book by the renowned 77-year-old author Vasudev Kanemar called 'Dharma mathu Samskrithi' at a function held at Pejavar mutt, Santacruz (East) here recently.

This book discusses the deeper meaning of how good dharma can evolve into good culture and eventually a good society.  

The 83-yesr-old Dr N B Vankhudri successfully completed the difficult task of translating Kanemar's earlier Kannada book, 'Devalayagala Sthitigati’ into English. The translated 393 page English book, 'The State of our Mega Temples' by Vasudev Kanemar was released by Dr N B Vankudri on the occasion.



Dr Vankudri said that the intensive research that must have been done to cover the 74 chapters and different aspects regarding temples is worth conferring a PhD degree, said Dr N B Vankurdi. 

The third book that was released by the Kanemar couple was a surprise to them. An English book called 'From Ordinary to Extraordinary' written by Shobha G Rao which was a tribute by her, giving a gist of the 55 years of marriage of the Kanemars, along with the message that it is the seemingly ordinary moments of life with parents that can give extraordinary memories, happiness and learning.

There were many distinguished personalities from the Kannada fraternity who were part of the over 200 plus guests at the celebration and rare event of releasing the books of both the father and daughter. 

Satyanarayana puja and other religious celebrations were also held as part of golden jubilee wedding anniversary of Kanemar couple.
