Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 8: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Tuesday, November 8, reported zero coronavirus cases.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district stand at 1,37,169 out of which 8 are currently active. As many as two patients were discharged on November 8.

No deaths were reported on November 8. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Zero coronavirus cases were reported on November 8. The total active Covid cases are nine.

A total of 10,90,836 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,497 have received both doses and 2,97,907 people have received booster doses.

Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala have reported zero cases.
