Beltangady: Parents tensed, worried about reports of children's abduction

Beltangady, Nov 9: Parents of children studying in Bangadi Government High School are tense and worried about abductors who have surfaced on the scene.

Rumours of abduction were doing the rounds in the social media and suspicions were expressed about increasing cases of children being kidnapped.

On Monday evening, it is said that unidentified people came near the school in a car and threatened the school children. The scared children then brought this to the notice of their parents. Information pertaining to this incident was shared with the police, according to Beltangady BEO Virupashappa H S.

When enquired with the police about the issue, it is learnt that the police have collected information from the school and are examining the matter, according to Beltangady Circle Inspector Shivakumar.

    These days there are reports of abduction mainly from north India for money But it was not a common scene in south India. I feel we must be careful and act against this social menance. Its an evil
