Kundapur, Nov 9: “The special summary revision 2022 of the Election Commission of India is set in motion on Wednesday, November 9 and it will continue to the next two months,” said Kundapur sub divisional officer Raju K. He was speaking to news reporters after setting in motion the revision of voters' list at Kundapur government pre University College and Board high school.
“Including the names of voters who are eligible to vote and deleting the names of those who are ineligible to vote is the intention of the campaign. The election commission has directed the campaign to make the list authentic,” he said.
“The campaign will be successful when everybody cooperates when BLOs visit houses for inspection. Elections under the democratic process will be possible with the help of an accurate voter’s list,” he opined.
Students of Board high school took part in the campaign. They took out a procession on Kundapur main market to create awareness about the intention to revise the voter’s list.
DySP Srikanth, college principal Ramakrishna G, vice principal Kiran Hegde, tahsildar Kiran G Gourayya, teacher Prakash Shetty and others were present.
