Mangaluru: Police chief lauds head constable’s humanitarian work, issues letter of appreciation

Mangaluru, Nov 10: The police commissioner appreciated the humanitarian work of Sampath Bangera, head constable, traffic west police station, who got the mortal remains of a stranger shifted to government Wenlock hospital without the help of his colleagues or medical personnel.

In his letter of appreciation, police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “You have displayed exemplary humanitarian values by getting the mortal remains of a stranger, who was found dead near Mini Vidhana Soudha on November 9, to Wenlock hospital without the help of any colleagues or medical personnel.

“I appreciate your mindfulness on duty on behalf of the city police unit and on my personal behalf and wish you continue your duty in these kind of social work in coming days also,” stated the police commissioner in the letter.
