By Adarsh Shetty

Sydney, Nov 10: The Bunt community gathered at the Lane Cove Golf Club to celebrate the annual event organised by the Australian Bunts' Association on On November 5.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by elders and a welcome address. One of the members spoke about the values of Bunt culture and the significance of ‘Athithi Sarkar’ in the Bunt community.

The cultural performance line-up began with young children performing a folk dance to “Tuluver yenklu” tune. This was followed by a dance medley by the youth, ladies, and couples. There was an eclectic fashion show with a retro and metro theme which continued to captivate the audience after all the exhilarating dance performances.

There was participation from across all generations celebrating the togetherness of Bunt community in Australia. This was an opportunity for some of the newly arrived members to connect with other Bunts and forge new friendships and belongingness with the community. More than 200 Bunts joined in the celebration and this event is expected to only get bigger in the years to come.

Finally, the celebration concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a sumptuous dinner. This event would not have happened without the support of the community.
