Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD)

Byndoor, Nov 10: Manjunath M G, the Block education officer of Byndoor has been suspended for issuing an order to the school teachers and education department officials and also parents of the students for a chief minister's convention held here on October 7.

Manjunath M G had issued an order in which he had asked all the school teachers, officials of the block education office and block resource centre in Byndoor to attend the chief minister's programme compulsorily. This apart he had also forced teachers to compulsorily get the parents of the students of every school in Byndoor range to the programme.

The order had stirred a controversy and the opposition party Congress had demanded an enquiry into the same.

The under secretary to the state government, Department of School Education and Literacy Mallikarjun Ramappa has issued the suspension order against Manjunath M G by the order of the governor for misuse of power.

Respect for any politician should be voluntary & not forceful. Otherwise it is dictatorship. Not only for CM & PM functions double engine 40% cut sarkaar making people force fully attend their useless functions. It's purpose only political. But what is more pathetic is that BJP government forced all schools, colleges, other educational, technical institutions to upload "agniveer" banner advertisements of central government compulsorily sent by Modi sarkaar. What a pathetic & dictatorial attitude. Unless people know & challenge these misdeeds legally BJP will continue to mislead the country.

If I am not mistaken, I too have read in this forum itself that CM Bommai too has instructed all college students to attend Modi’s programs in Bangalore today. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The students and parents are customers of a school system. How can a public servant compel the customers of a service to attend political shows? This is bot only a complete misuse of power, but a total lack of understanding that a public servant is a servant of the people, and not a master. India needs to stop being a third-world country. But public servants such as these will not let that happen.

This is nothing but hog wash to fool the public as well as to forestall any criticism from the public. The BEO must have received orders from the education minister to issue circular. Now this drama of suspension with an assurance that it would be quietly withdrawn after a few days. ಇಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥೆ ಮುಗಿಯಿತು, ನಿಮಗೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿ, ನಮಗೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿ.
