Udupi and Kanakadasa have an inseparable relationship and everyone knows the importance of his devotion to Sri Krishna and the importance of Kanaka's kindi in Sri Krishna Math."
She said that Onake Obavva, who is a symbol of women empowerment, protected her fort by protecting stree Dharma and motherly feeling, has showed the world about patience, courage, bravery and strength of women.

Dr Katyayini Kunjibettu, gave a special lecture in the programme and said that, ”Kanakadasa, who was a poet, philosopher, and a devotional saint, gave messages to mankind through his sermons, kirtanas and poems that are still relevant today. He tried to correct the evils in the society.
