Milk, curd prices go up by Rs 3 in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Nov 14 (IANS): The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has increased the price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs 3 per litre, with effect from midnight of Monday.

The milk price, per litre, has been raised to Rs 40 from Rs 37, while curd will now cost Rs 48, against Rs 45 earlier.

The special milk price, per litre, has gone up to Rs 46 from Rs 43, while Shubham milk will cost Rs 46, and Samrudhi milk will cost Rs 51.

The farmers were demanding the increase in prices for a long time saying they are incurring more expenses as the fodder and grass have become dearer due to climatic conditions.

@T D'Souza, Hello Sir, it's not only the dairy farmers but the entire MSME sector is in a deep crisis after demo and GST and unplanned lockdown!! Why not go into the root of the problem and try to mend it? BTW, have you come across any Rs 2000/- note in the last one year? I challenge you to get one going to your nearest bank and requesting the manager to give you one to keep as a memorabilia? Where have all the notes vanished? Try to do your own research and find out what the hell is going on..... Now, the IT industry seems like it's going busy, after a full 360° rotation, so more & more pain on the way!
