Bantwal, Nov 17: MLA Rajesh Naik inaugurated the Janaspandana programme in the Sangabettu Zilla Panchayat limits with the cooperation of various government departments.
He directed the officials to listen to the grievances of the villagers who arrived at the programme and solve their issues within the legal framework on the spot. “The deputy commissioner level programme will be held in future to solve the issues that cannot be dealt with here,” he said.
On the occasion, 94C title deeds, labour kits, cheques and facilities were distributed to about 400 beneficiaries. Sangabettu Gram Panchayat president Sathish Poojary presided over the programme. Mangaluru assistant commissioner Madan Mohan said that government facilities should be made available to the beneficiaries on time.
Several government department officials were present. Taluk panchayat EO Rajanna welcomed, deputy tahsildar proposed a vote of thanks and Dinesh Rai compered the programme. Officials from Sangabettu, Arala, Rai, Kukkipadi, Chennaithodi, Iravathur, Pilatabettu, Panjikallu gram panchayats, elected representatives and villagers took part in the programme.
